THE APOLLONIA IS THE HUDSON VALLEY’S CARBON-NEUTRAL MERCHANT VESSEL. POWERED BY WIND, THE APOLLONIA CAN TRANSPORT HER CARGO SUSTAINABLY. THIS IS NOT A LIVING-HISTORY PROJECT TRYING TO MAKE THE PAST “COME ALIVE”.  WE ARE PART OF A GROWING SAIL FREIGHT MOVEMENT COMMITTED TO RELEVANT, INTELLIGENT SOLUTIONS.

The backbone of this run will be 12,000lbs of grain from Hudson Valley Malt and Stone House Grain, delivered to partner brewers and distillers in Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Ossining, and Brooklyn. In addition, you can preorder other goods from Schooner Appollonia’s producer partners to be delivered to Brooklyn at the end of May.

If you buy directly from each partners’ website by May 13, Schooner Apollonia will deliver by sail freight! They will announce on their website and Instagram when the Schooner Apollonia will deliver the goods to the dock in Red Hook, Brooklyn around May 21st. Join them at the dock to pick up - or your goods will be placed at Van Brunt Stillhouse for pickup during Van Brunt's regular hours of operation. The arrival date to Brooklyn may vary due to weather conditions and the time it will take to sail down the Hudson. Pre-order now to be a part of this first voyage of the 2021 season!
